FNF Talon Vice
We have updated the Talon vice incorporating a new jaw and satin livery. The Talon is both pleasing to the eye and very functional.
The FNF Talon has been engineered and built using nuclear grade CNC machinery and design software to create this precision vice.
The Talon vice is mounted on a 2 kilo base with built in pockets to store tools beside the shaft. The base plate also has a recess to ensure beads don't roll off.
The Talon vice has a stainless steel shaft and extension bar to ensure you can raise or lower it to the most desirable tying position for you. The Talon height can be adjusted by 150mm using the shaft locating boss and extension arm ensuring a comfortable tying position.
This rotary vice turns on a two bearing (SKF Bearings) system housed in the body of the vice ensuing an extremely smooth and adjustable rotation.
The vice jaws have been heavily influenced by the Law vice. These powerful jaws are just as happy with a size 30 hook right up to large salt water predator hooks (2/0). The jaw has enough pinch pressure to easily bite down on any hook holding it without any slippage letting you tie with piece of mind. The jaw tip incorporates two grooves to accommodate a huge range of hook sizes. To ensure the highest quality of craftsmanship these have been manufactured locally in Scotland using nuclear grade machining.
Each vice will have a small tool kit and carry case.
Each base plate has its own unique identification batch number engraved on the base plate.
FNF have also designed their own Vice Tool Bar for the Talon. This Tool Bar has a 10.2mm opening that fits onto the Talon shaft perfectly. The Tool Bar contains 15 holes to accommodate various tying instruments. Note Tool Bar is sold separately.
A waste bin is also available for the Talon. This magnetic snap off bin is 170mm wide and fits perfectly below the Talon. Note waste bin is sold separately.
